Mann’s depiction of Jayne Mansfield evidences that she really loved her with all of her heart and that she had nothing but utter respect for her friend even after her tragic death. Thought this biography was very engaging and beautiful. It gets painful to read sometimes since Jayne went through a lot of abuse during her last romantic relationship, but it’s a very well-constructed portrait of the super intelligent pink-loving movie star and adoring mother Jayne Mansfield nevertheless. Worth reading even if you haven’t seen her movies or care about cinema history / Hollywood trash as much as I do. There is so much to learn about Jayne that could definitely empower girls to become more loving persons. So beautiful.
